Hard work Rocks! And these guys work it.
Disclaimer: You could think of this as somewhat of an advertisement. But since these guys are only rockin' in concert and not selling CDs or T-shirts (that I know of), it's more of just a giant brag on my step son, TJ, and his band, Missiles, Missiles, Missiles.
I have never been so entertained by nonvocal rock than when these 4 guys from Missiles Missiles Missiles take the stage.
At the Fantasy Club in Cleveland a few months ago, they blew the house away when I saw them last. They've gathered a rabid fan base that is incredibly loyal and for such a young group they have found themselves in envious poll positions at concert venues on Cleveland's performance stages. Check out their Facebook page or MySpace page (with music sample) for event notices if you're in the area.
Missiles Missiles Missiles is:
Bryan Becker - Lead Guitar
Josh Taylor - Rhythm Guitar
T.J. Weishampel - Bass
Dom Williams - Drums
His mom and I got TJ his first bass guitar only a few years ago now for his birthday. We weren't sure how long his interest would hold, or if the guitar would end up in the the back of the closet or under the bed with broken strings or taped up to some other electrical widgets to accomplish some evil purpose...but, TJ found his love. We helped him with lessons but he did all the hard work. Really hard work. He developed blisters quickly but it was no deterrent to him. Soon, he was learning on 6 string acoustic as well, and spending time showing us the songs he was learning. It was great to watch. His skills were developing so quickly. TJ found his passion. The practice hours were paying off and TJ had found something to pour his energy and heart into.
It's thrilling to listen to all that passion come out on stage with three other guys so similarly talented.
Rock on, guys. We'll be catching all the shows we can!
